What is a missional community?

A missional community is a group of people seeking to live life as a family of servant missionaries who are sent out by God into the world to make disciples who make disciples. This, to us, is the main expression of church and is the greatest argument in favor of the gospel. Jesus prayed that believers "may be one . . . that the world may believe that You [God] sent me" (John 17:21), adding that "by this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35).

It is for this reason that missional communities serve as the primary organizing structure of the church. They are church on "street level," where all are invited to "do life together" throughout the week, discipling one another in the gospel, serving and blessing their neighborhoods, and creating safe spaces for people to grow in their knowledge of and likeness to Jesus.
